each semester. Prospective transfer students must meet UM-Rolla
admissions requirements.
SLCC and UM-Rolla for 30 years have had a transfer relationship
whereby SLCC students who complete the engineering science associate
degree program are eligible to transfer to Rolla with junior class
standing.
In addition, since 1988 the two institutions, along with Emerson
Electric Co., have partnered to offer the Emerson Electric Co.
Minority Engineering Scholarship. Through this program, qualified
minority pre-engineering students who complete the equivalent
of an associate's degree at SLCC then may transfer to Rolla to
finish their undergraduate education.
