        Festival of Nations is the region's largest multi-cultural arts celebration. The free, family-friendly event brings the vibrant and diverse ethnic communities of St. Louis together in Tower Grove Park.

        This not-to-miss weekend features non-stop music and dance, delicious food, hands-on crafts and sports, as well as demonstrations of time-honored traditions. Learn about other cultures while celebrating your own family's ethnic heritage with storytelling at the Up-Close and Personal Stage. Bring youngsters to play in the Children's Activity Area, while kids of all ages can test their skills in the World Sports Meadow. Meanwhile, sip some refreshing mango or watermelon juice and enjoy the World Music Stage.

        Take Your Tastebuds Around the World at Festival of Nations

        Lots of people have a favorite ethnic food, like Italian, Mexican, or Chinese...but how many people can honestly say they have a taste for Afghan, Haitian, or Burmese cuisine? Find out if you do at Festival of Nations, which features the traditional food of over 20 cultures spanning every continent.At the Festival you can sample treats such as Turkish halvah and Ethiopian injera, as well as more familiar delights like baklava or kebabs. All are priced at family-friendly levels, so come hungry to Festival of Nations. Refreshing beverages like the delicious Burmese lime juice and hot pepper drink will help you relax while enjoying the shady trees and delightful ambience of the global picnic going on around you.

        The Whole Family Will Have Fun at Festival of Nations

        Are you a world music fan? Come for three stages of non-stop music and dance featuring popular artists like Farshid Etniko and Autumn's Child. Love traditional dancing? Watch the finest area dance troops, from Afriky Lolo to Viva Flamenco. Or try it yourself with dance lessons on the Village Green.

        Do you want to get in touch with your own ethnic roots? Perhaps you'd enjoy helping a German bobbin lace artisan or clapping along with Kids Mex.You'll find the region's most diverse and authentic international crafts selection available in one location! Set aside time to browse the African carvings, Ecuadorian weaving, and Russian matroyiska dolls, all available at reasonable prices.

        Following the World Cup, what would any international celebration be without sports? Besides a soccer juggling contest, the World Sports Meadow will showcase traditional sports like Scottish Caber tossing, and world-wide favorites like badminton. You can try your skills at these games and others, like judo or tae kwon do.

        For youngsters, Boeing presents the ever popular Children's Area which features fun, educational, hands-on activities that kids just won't want to leave.         What's New?Worldways Children's Village presents a special area of children's activities, including a chance for youngsters to try on fashions from all over the globe and learn the customs behind the clothing.The Diversity Awareness Partnership hosts the "Diversity Circle Meeting Game" where festival-goers can meet people from other cultures in a fun, fast-paced atmosphere.
