University City's founder, E.G. Lewis, was the publisher of two Women's Magazines. In fact, City Hall is the Women's Magazine building and was the center of Mr. Lewis' publishing empire. The Centennial committee is producing "Honoring Women: Past, Present, Future" for five evenings in University City. Topics for the series are Women's Suffrage & Current Political Status, Women in Media, 100 Years of Women's Fashions, Continuing Education for Women, and Edward Gardner Lewis.
The first four lectures will be held in COCA's auditorium at 524 Trinity. The final lecture will be held on the 5th Floor of City Hall on September 20.
