The plan calls for two new interdisciplinary pavilions framing Brookings Hall, including a welcome center and a hub for campus communities; two new academic buildings, to house the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science and a new facility for the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts; an addition to the Kemper Art Museum; a nearly 800-space underground parking garage; and new landscaping.

“When completed, it will set the course for the next era of development and academic excellence for our scholars and students,” he said.

The project, expected to cost around $240 million, is slated to begin after the spring 2017 semester and be completed in 2019.
