Mayor welcomes Liverpool FC
at St. Louis landmark


St. Louis (August 3, 2016) – LFC Club Ambassadors, Ian Rush and Gary McAllister joined Reds Legend Luis Garcia and Chief Commercial Officer Billy Hogan to visit the Gateway Arch, St. Louis’ most famous landmark, where they were welcomed by Mayor Francis G. Slay. [vc_row][vc_column]

[/vc_column][/vc_row]The group, who were in the city as part of the Clubs’ US pre-season tour, took part in a gift exchange with Mayor Slay before ascending the 630 foot tall (192 metre) structure to take in the views of St. Louis when they visited the attraction earlier this week. 585102054

Speaking on the visit, ex LFC midfielder Luis Garcia, said: “Visiting the Gateway Arch was a fantastic experience, the views from the top were unbelievable and I would like to thank St. Louis for making us feel so welcome in their wonderful city.”

“It is great to be able to meet all of the American based LFC fans as well as having the opportunity to visit so many fantastic cities to see the sights. Football is really growing in the U.S. and you can really feel the excitement that surrounds each of the games when you are out in the city meeting the supporters.” 585102168
