WILDWOOD,
Mo. - Andrews Academy of Wildwood will open its classrooms for observation
to parents considering the private elementary school for their child.
The Classroom Observation Tour is an opportunity for parents to
learn first hand of the elementary school’s successful academic program.
The observation tour will be held Nov. 14-18. Parents must call
(636) 405-2577 to reserve a spot in either the 9:30 a.m. or 1:30
p.m. observation periods. The observation tours will last approximately
90 minutes, and parents will be encouraged to observe classroom
activities and ask questions they may have about the program.
Andrews Academy established its Wildwood campus in August by
first opening the school to children entering the first grade.
The school will expand the program to the second grade for the
2006-07 school year.
The Wildwood campus is modeled on the same core principles of
excellence developed at original Andrews Academy in Creve Coeur
more than a quarter-century ago. Those principles include respect
for the individual child, a thorough understanding of basic concepts
and the encouragement of independent thinking.
Thousands of area St. Louis children are alumni of Andrews Academy
is a non-sectarian private elementary school. The program was
founded in 1979 to satisfy the need for an alternative approach
to existing schools. The Wildwood campus is one of three Andrews
Academies serving the St. Louis region.
