        ABOUT SLEEPING BEAUTY:

"Sleeping Beauty was always kind of an incomplete story for me," said Gonzalez, "She just falls asleep and waits." In this version, Gonzalez gives the princess a feminist makeover, highlighting her artistry, courage, determination, ferocity, gratitude, humor and intelligence. During the princess's long rest, Gonzalez describes her dreams - giving her more to do, than just "laying there waiting for her prince." She's more than "the object of desire," Gonzalez says.

Gonzalez, who has traveled to 22 countries with his unique brand of storytelling, likes to put his own spin on classic tales. The result is in intimate experience that taps the imagination of adult and child alike.
