(Edwardsville, IL) --The College of Arts and Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville recognized the outstanding achievements of more than 225 students at its annual Honors Day Convocation on April 22.
Departmental and program awards were recognized in an afternoon ceremony that was attended by nearly 550 people on the SIUE
campus. The convocation also provided a chance for award and scholarship recipients to meet their donors. Included for
recognition in the event was the Outstanding Student in Chinese Award sponsored by Organization of Chinese American (OCA)
St. Louis, the recipients this year are Song Lim and Morgan McDaniel.
The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest academic unit at SIUE, and offers more than 50 degree options within the arts, humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is located within the metropolitan St. Louis area and has an enrollment of more than 14,000 students in its undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs.
