St. Louis named top getaway spot by AAA

St. Louis has been named the "Best Large City for a Weekend Getaway" by AAA members in the July/August issue of AAA Midwest Traveler magazine.
This is the third consecutive year St. Louis has received the distinction. St. Louis scored better than second place Chicago and third place Kansas City in the annual report.
The results were collected via a poll, which is available in the magazine's July/August issue. Votes were submitted by AAA members from Missouri, eastern Kansas, southern Illinois and southwestern Indiana.
In addition to being named the best city for a weekend gateway, several St. Louis venues also received high marks from AAA members.
The Moonrise Hotel in the Loop won for best small hotel, the Gateway Arch was named best attraction and Tony's restaurant downtown was named the best place for fine dining.
AAA Midwest Traveler is mailed bi-monthly to about 560,000 AAA members in Missouri, southern Illinois, southern Indiana and eastern Kansas.
