University City, Missouri, January 18, 2013 - The City of University City and the University City Chamber of Commerce are hosting a joint meeting to update Olive Boulevard property owners, businesses and other interested parties on planned and proposed corridor activities.
The meeting will be 3:30-5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30, at Heman Park Community Center, 975 Pennsylvania Ave. Topics to be discussed include: * Joint redevelopment planning effort with the City of Olivette at the Olive Boulevard/I-170 intersection.
* Plans for the City-owned vacant lots.
* Economic Development Retail Sales Tax funds - 1/4 cent sales tax dedicated for economic development related activities on Olive Boulevard and the Delmar Loop.
* City liquor license application changes, comprehensive planning efforts, design guidelines.
* Group advertising opportunities.
* Planned "A Taste of U. City" event for Olive Boulevard in May.* 2013 University City Comprehensive Plan Update process.
