Oklahoma native Sam Bradford is working with the initiative to usher in relief for victims of Monday's hurricane, which kicked off yesterday at Busch Stadium.
The city of St. Louis is partnering with the American Red Cross, St. Louis Rams Quarterback Sam Bradford, and Switch Contemporary to help Oklahoma City in a disaster relief effort they are calling #STL4OKC.

Its focus is on raising funds and collecting donations for victims of Monday's tornado in Oklahoma City. The initiative kicked off with a launch Wednesday May 22, 2013 afternoon at Busch Stadium.

Bradford, an Oklahoma native, expressed deep gratitude on behalf of his home state:

"It means so much to me that St. Louis would be willing to come to the aide of Oklahoma City. Whatever we can send to Oklahoma City will help. I mean, there are people with nothing."

While Bradford's family was spared from the damage of this tornado, he said that they were a way of life growing up. "You always know that when one comes through it very well could hit your neighborhood," he said. "And if that ever does happen, I pray that there are people out there willing to come in and help, just like I know the people of St. Louis are going to come and help out."

Those interested can search the hashtag #STL4OKC for more information or text the work REDCROSS to 90999 to donate.
