【時報訊】OLIVE大道匯報會吸引很多業主商戶和居民參加大學城市政府和大學城商會聯合於三月十三日在希幔Park社區中心舉行有關Olive大道匯報會。這次60多人參加的匯報會讓Olive大道附近業主，商戶和居民對一些有關Olive大道項目和發展有所了解。大學城市政府報告當前經濟發展活動和項目，包括全市綜合規劃計劃更新，全市零售營業稅，Olive商業街網站，改善街道景觀，包括修理人行道，行道樹，今年還將安裝新的吊花籃。

Olive Business Forum Drew Interests from Business and Property Owners and Residents
On Thursday, March 13, 2014, the City of University City and the University Chamber of Commerce jointly held a business forum regarding Olive Boulevard at the Heman Park Community Center. The well-attended forum with about 60 people was an opportunity for the City and Chamber to update property and business owners on progress and projects being planned along Olive Boulevard. The City described the economic development activities and initiatives currently being implemented along Olive Boulevard including a citywide Comprehensive Plan Update, a citywide retail sales tax fund, an Olive Corridor website, streetscape improvements including sidewalk repairs, street trees, and new hanging baskets to be installed this year.
The City also launched a Pilot Olive Boulevard Commercial Facade Improvement Program which is a grant of up to $15,000 or 50% of the project cost for property or business owners to rehabilitate commercial building facades along Olive Boulevard. For now, the Pilot Program is only available to properties and businesses located on Olive Boulevard between Midland Boulevard and Woodson/McKnight Road. The Chamber announced the formation of an Olive Boulevard Committee, which will be comprised of business and properties owners on Olive Blvd. The committee will work on programs and activities to help improve the business environment.
