Washington, D.C. - OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates, a national organization of community advocates dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs), is proud to announce the 2014 National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards which will take place November 7 at the Hilton Arlington in Arlington, Virginia.
The annual National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards are dedicated to celebrating and recognizing APAs in the corporate sector who exemplify not only excellence in their profession, but also leadership and commitment in their respective communities, and to the existing corporate culture of diversity.
The event is the first national program of its kind to recognize corporate achievement and service by honoring the dedication and leadership of APA corporate employees. Since its establishment in 1991 by the OCA Business Advisory Council (BAC), over 200 community-conscious corporate leaders have been inducted to this prestigious group.
"The Corporate Achievement Awards is an incredible opportunity for our community and companies to recognize their most outstanding corporate citizens in the United States," said OCA Acting Chief Executive Officer Ken Lee. "This year we feature 10 extremely talented and dedicated community members who make a difference in their respective companies."
Honorees are nominated by their respective employers and then selected by a panel of judges. This year, 10 honorees have been chosen to receive the award. They are:

Carolene Layugan, Responsible Gaming Program Manager, Caesars Entertainment
Maria Lee, VX and Side Optimization Manager, AARP
Ruben Mendiola, President of mun2, Comcast/NBC
Universal Jonas Ng, Director of Rewards Program Development, Discover Financial Services
Sanjay Patel, Vice President of Compensation and HR Operations, Kraft Foods Group
Diana Sands, Senior Vice President of Office of Internal Governance, The Boeing Company
Misha Terrazas, Senior Vice President and Community Bank Area President of the Arizona Region, Wells Fargo
Audrey Tom, Senior Project Manager of Information Technology Strategy, McDonald's
OCA will also recognize a recipient for the Community Service Award and the OCA Executive Excellence Award.
