To obtain a Tourist Visa (L Visa), PLEASE COMPLETE AND SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS .

1. Original Passport

You must send the actual passport. The passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your staying in China and have at least one blank visa page available for the Chinese visa.

*Non-U.S. Citizens must send a photocopy of U.S. Green Card or your valid U.S. visa.

*Special requirements for applicants with Chinese background, minors & Non-US citizens.

2. Chinese Visa Application Form

Completely fill-out and sign China visa application form , one form for each applicant.

3. Photograph

One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

4. Invitation Letter and Travel Info

An Invitation Letter for Tourist Group or An Invitation Letter for Tourist by a Duly Authorized Tourism Unit;
Or
An Invitation Letter issued by companies, corporations, institutions or individuals at China. If the invitation letter is issued by an individual at China, the photocopy of the ID of the individual is required.
And
Photocopies of the round trip airline ticket and hotel reservation.

To obtain a Business Visa (F Visa), PLEASE COMPLETE AND SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS.

1. Original Passport

You must send the actual passport. The passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your staying in China and have at least one blank visa page available for the Chinese visa. *Non-U.S. Citizens must send your actual U.S. Green Card or your valid U.S. visa.

Special requirements for applicants with Chinese background, minors & Non-US citizens.

2. Chinese Visa Application Form

Completely fill-out and sign China visa application form , one form for each applicant.

3. Photograph

One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

4. Business Letter or Invitation Letter

A Business Letter from your company or an invitation letter from the Chinese company. On your company letter head, write a letter addressed to the Chinese Consulate requesting a business visa on your behalf, explaining the purpose of the trip and guaranteeing financial support for you while in China.

To obtain a Student Visa (X Visa), PLEASE COMPLETE AND SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS.

1. Original Passport

2. Chinese Visa Application Form

3. Photograph

One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

4. Application for Study in China

Send the original and one copy of an approved Foreign Student Application Form (JW101 or JW202) issued by the Chinese unit.

5. Letter of Admission

Send the original and a photocopy of your Admission Notice from a Chinese school.

To obtain a Work Visa (Z Visa), PLEASE COMPLETE AND SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS.

1. Original Passport

You must send the actual passport. The passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your staying in China and have at least one blank visa page available for the Chinese visa.

*Non-U.S. Citizens must send a copy of your U.S. Green Card or your valid U.S. visa.

2. Chinese Visa Application Form

Completely fill-out and sign China visa application form , one form for each applicant.

3. Photograph

One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

4. Work Permit

Send the original and a photocopy of your work permit, which is issued by the Labor Department or Foreign Experts Bureau.

It should be obtained for you by your Chinese employer.

5. Visa Authorization Notice

Send the original and a photocopy of your visa authorization issued by the Foreign Affairs Office.

*Accompanying family members must submit a visa notification issued by the authorized Chinese unit or proof of kinship, e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.

What is a Chinese Visa?

A Chinese visa is a stamp of endorsement issued by the Chinese Consulate on a passport that allows the bearer to visit China. Chinese visas can be obtained through a visa service agency approved by the Chinese Consulate in the U.S.

Do I need a Chinese visa?

A Chinese visa is required prior to your trip to mainland China for tourism, business, employment, study or crew members. If you travel and stay only in Hong Kong or Macao for no more than 30 days, you are exempted from this visa requirement.

Do I need an appointment for a visa application? Can I have someone else to apply it for me?

No appointment is required, but we encourage you to check your local consulate’s website for holidays before you apply. Yes, you may have a Chinese Consulate approved visa agency to apply the visa for you.(for you some to the consulate for application process). Service fee will be charge by the agency. Chinese Consulate is not affiliated with any agencies.

Should I send in my actual passport for visa application?

Yes, you need to send your passport with visa application. Your passport must have more than 6 months validation, and the passport must have at least one blank page remaining . If approved, your Chinese visa will be stamped on the passport.

When to apply for visa before departing to China?

Between 30 to 90 days before departing for China will be the best time to apply for a visa. Chinese visa is valid immediately once issued for 3 months, 6 months,or 12 months respectively depending on the visa granted. We suggest you to plan your trip early and carefully.

Does Chinese Consulate open on weekends and holidays?

No, they are closed on weekends and holidays. They also close to observe Chinese national holidays. We strongly encourage you to double check these holidays on your local consulate’s website. (As advised, plan early and carefully).

When do you begin processing my application?

Your materials will be reviewed by us when you visit us or mail these to us. Processing the application starts on the next business day of arrival. (All applications will be reviewed on the day of arrival) and will be submitted to the consulate the next business day. We must receive all required and necessary documents to start processing. For express 5 business days, additional fees will apply, please call for for details. You are welcome to call for advice on express 5 business days service.

Does the processing time include shipping time?

No. Shipping in and returning shipping time is extra in addition to the processing time. Shipping times do not include Saturdays or Sundays unless specified. Deliveries may not be available on some holidays.

I am not a U. S. citizen. Can you still process my application?

Yes, we may help you to obtain the Chinese visa in the US, if you are legal resident or have valid US visa. You need to provide the legal status in the US, such as photocopy of US Green Card or valid US visa such as F, H, L, B, etc. Certain restriction may apply. Policy may change without notice. Please call for details.

I am a US citizen currently living abroad. Can you still process my application?

Yes. The application process is the same. Please contact us for return shipping cost. Shipping times vary depending on your location.

Originally, I applied for a single entry visa, but my travel plan changed and I need to enter mainland China twice. Can I change it to a double entry and just pay the consular fee difference?

Once Chinese visa is issued, it can’t be change. You will have to apply for a new visa in order to enter mainland China twice. You will need to submit your documents to us. We will go through the applications process and pay the consular fee again. Our advice is that plan early and carefully.

What is the difference between a Chinese tourist and business visa?

Chinese visas are issued according to the purpose of the trip; either tourism or business activities. In general, "tourist" visas are issued specifically for the purpose of travel for pleasure, while a "business" visa generally permits a traveler to engage in normal business-related activities (sales meetings, visiting a factory, negotiating agreements, etc.)

I'm traveling to Beijing for business and plan to stay a few extra days and travel to other cities for sightseeing. Will I need a business visa and tourist visa?

No need to apply for a tourist visa, a business visa will allow you to travel and sightseeing in different cities in mainland China within the duration permitted.

Will the information I submit to China Visa Service Center be sold or disclosed to others?

No. Information about you stays with us. China Visa Service Center will not disclose or sell your information to third party for any reason or under any circumstance. Please refer to our privacy policy for more information.

Is the consular fee refundable if my application is refused by the consulate?

No. Consulates do not refund consular fees under any circumstance.

What payment methods do you accept?

China Visa Service Center accept Visa, Master Card, personal check, cashier’s check, money order, bank check, company check, certified check and cash. Check and money orders should be payable to "China Visa Solutions" in U.S. dollars. Credit card payments are subject to 3% convenience fee. You will receive a receipt from us (in your return shipping).
